guess i'll be switching, since no real date on fios here

Is there an estimated date as to when the 7.1-15mbps or perhaps the FIOS will be available in my area?

If i knew that FIOS will be coming relatively soon, then I would consider it, but as it is, there is no estimated date of when FIOS will be available in my area.

Try asking about your ZIP code in the Broadbandreports FiOS forum, there are guys there who work on the deployments and can check for you.

got the 15/2, downloads vary from about 8-15, upload 1.6-1.7. fios isn't available in my area, and their fastest dsl is 3.1-7/768, and costs more than the 15/2 package i got.
