AEM 340 pump is dead on arrival. It runs for 5 seconds then barely pushes a tiny stream of fuel. AEM only has a one year warranty and i bought it a year and a half ago but just tried it out. Any suggestions for other LPFPs? I bought that one because it was E85 compatible

Got the new dogbone mount installed tonight (old BSH is for sale in the classifieds if interested). Probably more NVH especially with the VWR puck.

Ordered a 42DD shift cable bracket to try and support the cables and keep them off the exhaust. 42DD said it would fit with the OEM metal cable bracket but it’s way off

Also started on the alignment since it has a TT rack. Used whatever i could find to lock the wheel

I put a VWR puck in my car too. That APR dog bone does look pretty nice.

I bought it because of the spherical bushing. I wanted some articulation in the mount, whereas the BSH one didnt have enough due to the design. BSH would have probably been fine if the dogbone and subframe bushings were still softer rubber/poly but I didnt want to risk cracking the case under hard acceleration/launches

AEM pump wasn’t dead, it was pumping fuel out of the basket faster than it could fill it. Drilled 6 holes and it should be much better.

TT axle on the passenger side didn’t fit at all (DSG vs 6MT). Printing an axle spacer to test fit

Got it started tonight, fired up first try which I was amazed with. Video won’t upload with sound so I’ll get another one tomorrow

So after i got it started and running, i noticed something wasn’t quite right. It ran decent but sounded like a Subaru. Got to troubleshooting and found out that i had swapped injector #1/2 wiring at the bulkhead connector. They were both firing, just at the wrong times. Swapped pins and runs much better now.

Had a small coolant leak at one of the turbo supply lines but that is fixed, and there is a tiny amount of oil seepage from the engine girdle plate. I ALMOST gasketed it when i pulled the oil pan to seal it but thought it would be fine. Engine will need to come out to seal it back up, but it’s such a small leak I’m going to try and put some miles on it to work out the other kinks before i pull it again

Finished fabbing the mount for the catch can. Trying to decide if i run the valve cover port to it as well or leave the filter on it

Open filter will cause bad smells and oil vapour residu in your engine bay.. I would reroute it to somewhere under the car, or back into the intake

That was already considered, there is no other place outside of the bay to relocate it
