Squeeky Dash screen vent

Any suggestions on how to eliminate the creek and squeeks from the vent in the top of my MKV R32 dash?

search, i have a thread on how to fix this with updated vent parts.

I have the same problem too in my R32 and it annoying to a point which I just really want to hit it with my hand when I am driving!!! Arghhhhhhhhh

I used to hit it all the time which never did anything.

I can take a picture later but I've had a folded up piece of card stock, that used to be a pack of Five gum, stuffed into the rear right corner. No squeaks since my 'fix.' Does it look good, fuck no. Does it bug the shit out of me anymore? Not a bit. I've been meaning to cut it flush but I need a sharp new razor blade and haven't bothered. I figured out where to put the card stock by pushing on each corner while driving until I figured out what stopped the noises.

I say stuff some black paper in there and cut it flush. Fixed for free

Mine does this as well. Have been planning to insert something into front left corner. When I press there it stops. It doesnt bother me that much so havent fixed it yet.

Same here..any good fixes?

Lol mine makes that noise too, I'm going into the garage right now and inserting a piece of foam into the middle and seeing if that works because when I push it down it stops making noise as well.
