so i got this warranty letter in the mail yesterday....saying that my transmission warranty had been extended to 100,000 miles or 7 years. apparently theres been a lot of complaints about the hard shifting between 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd....did anyone else get this letter?

It's a follow-up letter for the DSG CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM. This letter says to take it in and get the Mech. unit replaced because a clutch bushing could wear out prematurely. I'm not doing anyhing unless the clutches get jerky, the main symtom, or I get the Flash of Death.

yeah i got the letter too, my car drives fine right now. i dont think i wanna bring it in unless something is acting up. 100 k miles and 10 years is awesome though, but does anyone know if im stage 2 apr they will void it?

Does it say what years? I remember a letter going around a year or so ago but was only for 07-09 GTIs.

yeah i gotta take mine in, it jerks a when it shifts =( i took it in about a year ago and the bastard service writer said it was normal without taking a look at it..
