just not for me personally. i like the corners too much and have a fear of blowing a bag mid turn.

Yeah it is a matter of perspective. But in reality, air suspension has been used in auto racing for a long time. Check out http://www.airliftcompany.com/index.php

The ability to have that perfect blend of the fender and the tire and with a ultimate low profile is what a lot of tuners look for especially in the VW world. With a descent set up you won't lose any performance and you can adjust height on the fly, especially when you trying to get over a speed bump or a pesky steep driveway. The slammed look isn't for everybody, but it does look bad ass when it's sitting pretty on the street.

Don't knock it till you try it.
