OP is your GTI chipped? That may be why the Si feels rediculiousely slower.

I don't even have a GTI any more. I was just so surprised how gutless that thing was when I drove it. Seriously - everyone go drive one and come back here and tell me you don't agree. There are plenty of them out there on lots. We shall reconvene next week. Take a picture of yourself in the car to prove you were there and then report. Don't just read about it in a magazine.
