So you swapped in a Golf R engine and kept the GTI ECU? Still running APR K04 software? Any hiccups with getting it running right?

Nope runs fine. APR said it wouldn't run but O'Hara Automotive installed it (they are our local APR distributor as well) and it fired right up and ran. I thought it was running lean at first because it wasn't building up black soot on the tailpipes but that lasted about a week and now it does.

Still running smooth with the Golf R motor and K04 tuned GTI ECU?

I'm getting ready to put Golf R rods & pistons in my K04 GTI and I'm looking for reassurance that the compression ration drop won't cause issues.
