Hi all, did a search here but didn't have much luck.
I have a 2006 Rabbit 2.5L and need to replace the thermostat. Is it possible to get at it by removing the alternator?
I see guides for the 2.0L that mention removing the alternator (as well as ones that mention removing the intake manifold), but the only guide I can find for the 2.5L requires removing the intake manifold.
I've got a friend with a lift so dropping the alternator wouldn't be too bad. Removing the intake manifold sounds like a pain. But can you get to it with only dropping the alternator? Anyone tried this?
Thanks!
