First time owning a GTI

Hey guy I own an 07 GTI and was wondering what I should look out for it needs new brakes and the airbag light is on and traction control light is on I’m getting a brake kit Friday and going to be taking a look at the traction control but is there anything I should get for the car to prevent certain things ? I’ve looked up YouTube videos but they don’t help. Anything would help guys thank you

Best place for you to start as a new owner is to go through the Technical Discussions in the forum. At the beginning of each category the admin has created "stickys" which are just the type of topics you are looking for.
