few updates

I was very busy last weeks and I had no time to update the thread and continue the story.

Few parts have been arrived from USP Motorsports.
  • Ferrea 2.0T FSI Valvetrain Kit- Stock Sized Valves
  • Valve Stem Seal Kit FSI/TSI
  • IE Valve Guide: 2.0T FSI Engines
  • Intake Camshaft: 2.0T FSI (06F109101J)
  • Exhaust Camshaft (06F109102E)
  • Cam Follower (Hydraulic Lifter)
  • Cylinder Head Gasket Set - VW/Audi 2.0T FSI
  • ARP Camshaft Girdle Bolt Kit: 2.0T FSI
  • ARP VW/Audi 2.0L (FSI) 4cyl Cam Tower Bolt Kit
  • IE 2.0T FSI Catch Can Kit (Requires IE Valve Cover)
  • IE 2.0T FSI Billet Valve Cover-ROW (IEBAVC5)
  • Valve Cover Gasket 2.0T FSI (06F103483D)
  • IE Rear Breather Blockoff Plate For Transverse 2.0T FSI/TSI Engines (IEBAVC8)
  • IE Evap Crossover Tube Relocation - 2.0T FSI (IEBAVC11)
  • EZ Oil Drain Valve Kit (EZ-106KT)
  • Oil and coolant lines and fittings (latest revision)
  • Calico Coated Rod Bearing Set for 4 Cylinder VW/Audi
  • Calico Coated Main Bearing Set - Audi/VW 4 Cylinder
  • Forge Turbo Hose Kit 2.0T FSI- Red
  • Forge Silicone Coolant Hose Kit 2.0TFSI- Red

I cancelled the IE Ultimate Crankshaft Girdle Kit as it will take few weeks to be ready.

Also, I got one item of my 2016 plan, I got 2011 Scirocco White/Black 1.4 TSI. I will install/swap another 2.0T FSI system on it (still looking for one), and after doing a full swap and make sure everything is working perfectly, I will install the upgrades I have in my Black MKV in the White Scirocco.
It is headache but let's see how it will end up!

more is coming

Yeah it is really interesting it was my dream since I got my MKV, I used the MKV as a demo and test before I plan for the Scirocco.

I am looking for another 2.0T FSI system in order to install it on the Rocco and make sure everything will function well then I will swap the performance parts/stuff from the MKV to it.

I am totally supporting you, Go for the Scirocco

New-style Sciroccos are not available here in the US :( You'd have to import from Canada or Europe....at least I think Canada got them.

We don't get them either, although HPA Motorsports will sell you one for $150,000 with like 600hp

This one for $150,000 is fully loaded and modified up to stage 5++
It is a bit expensive but I would go for it if I have that much money!

Question Need your advise about JE Pistons 8.5:1 or 9.5:1

Hi Guys,
I am confused between the JE Pistons 8.5:1 or 9.5:1 for the 2.0T FSI engine. I am already running the JE 9.5:1 in my setup with GTX2867R but I am preparing another engine for another car and I will use GTX2867R kit for a while then I will replace it by EFR7163 kit.

Target:
Like all of us (crazy people) to run an aggressive setup/tune with maximum power the car can get with 0 timing pull

Note:
The fueling here is VERY bad, the octane 95 we have here which is equal to RON98 is like octane 91 = RON93.
I will run the octane 95 we have here with WMI 50/50

What is your opinion/advise?

Scirocco Project

I will jump the GTX2867R and engine modifications journey because I will repeat it in the coming one!

I was looking for a Rocco to swap to it, I bought a used 2011 Scirocco White/Black 1.4TSI, the engine of it is damaged and it was parked for a while in the agency warehouse, so it looks like what I am looking for.

The interior installation went successfully yesterday but I don't have pics of it yet.

The car will move today/tomorrow for painting, I will go for "Oryx - Weiss with Pearl Effect (L0K1)" which the color I really love it.

The paining process is expected to take around 15 days, and after that I will drive the car for a while then the engine modifications and some parts movement from the MKV to the Rocco will start

Wish me luck because I think I will need it and more than that too!

Coming along nicely! Looks like the Scirocco shell was just what you wanted and a great place to start.

I love this kind of project. What kind of weight difference are you looking at here?

It was my plan from the beginning, I did all what I did in the MKV to be ready for the Rocco.

I am not targeting a specific weight.
The MKV curb weight is between 1,323 kg (2,917 lb) to 1,617 kg (3,565 lb) while the Scirocco Curb weight is 1,298 kg (2,862 lb), so the Rocco is lighter by 25kg or more, I can say 120kg in average.
Also, in the Rocco I will try to move the best from the MKV and install new stuff if it is really better and worth!

The roof still pending and I am not expecting to complete the process before 2 weeks!
I found that the front pumper must be replaced as there are lots of cracks inside it, and I don't wanna go for the R style as I like having fog lights & DRL not only DRL.
I want to go for Scirocco rear diffuser conversion to r style, but I couldn't find yet a rubber one on the internet.

Just out of curiosity, how much to paint the car?

Trying to decide if I should get a re-spray or just get it wrapped
