Oil filler neck removal?

can you put the filler neck back in later?

If you have some high temp glue like what was on it, then I don't see why not. You can probably order it from Genuinevwaudi.com if you have the part number for it.

I got an O-ring that fits perfectly around the cap. I have an 07 too, and it was leaking a small amount of oil vapors. But all is well now.

will it start to leak after its removed? or is it just maybe it will/maybe it wont

why do i need to remove it if the o-ring is preventing something that is otherwise adverse to proper function?

Just done this myself and after applying a worrying amount of pressure using pliers, with no signs of budging. I can confirm that a rag down and a few taps with a rubber mallet and it was off, clean as you like :)
