Question When should 2007 Rabbit Inner Tail Lights Light Up?

The Rabbit has two sets of tail lights, outer and inner. The inner are on the hatch itself, and lift up when the hatch is open.

On mine, the inner set never light up. They don't light as emergency flashers, brake lights, or as running lights.

When are they supposed to light up?

They don't do anything. The centers are your reverse lights. If one center is red, it's a rear fog light. But the red outers don't have bulbs.

Thanks! Turns out it was a bad backup light switch on the manual transmission. Fixed.
