Clicking/knocking sound

So, I've been hearing a loud clicking or knocking sound that seems like its coming from the hatch or the rear passenger side, near the fuel door. Sorry for the vague description. I've been trying to capture video of it but it happens so infrequently and doesn't usually last long enough.

It's a loud knocking that only happens a few minutes after a cold start and only when i come to a stop light, never when I'm moving. Once the car warms up it goes away. It will knock a few times slowly, and then get faster and go away. Anyone have any thoughts? I'm taking the car in for service next week so I'll ask them about it but thought I'd see what you guys think first.

I get that too. It happens at the same stop light every morning. I figured it was something with the low pressure fuel pump.

I get that problem too i was also getting the stupid fuel line rattle BAD.

Never noticed it in reverse. Only in D and only when I'm at a stop.

I only get it one time on a drive. Usually in the morning.

Lol I've always wondered what that noise was. I also get it at stop lights on morning cold starts.

It's nothing to worry about, its your fuel pump priming your system. Or thats what I was told. But, its definitely your fuel pump. I like to think there is a leprechaun in my car banging shit together.

It is the leak detection pump, will happen to make that noise pretty much the first few minutes or seconds of the drive.

Normal.
