Hello everyone, need some assistance, I recently wanted to take out the VW for a spin after leaving it standin in the garage for over more than 3 years...was living abroad. ...to my surprise..the brakes weren't working, was actually hard to brake. After asking around, a mechanic advised me to replace the seals on the master cilinder or simply replace with a new unit which I did. Yesterday I put in the new master brake cilinder and bled the lines at all four corners. Strangely enough, the brake will not hold, the pedal hits the floor everytime I brake. Iinspected the lines for leakage and found none. Did I miss something? Do I need to check anything else? I'm an avd do-it-selfer, maybe I crossed a line above my knowledge?

Sounds like you still have air in lines. Just have another go at bleeding it. This was a brand new Master Cylinder?

Use factory sequence. Fingers crossed.
