Lost Key..

hii guyss..
I just lost my keys this afternoon,,
do you guys know how should I do?
I mean how much is it if I want to change the code of the key in the VW dealer?
or do you guys have any idea?
I have the spare key but I am affraid somebody can take it..

my salesman said to replace the key would be like 180$

they have to reprogram the car.

he could be wrong though.

It depends, If you lost your key at some random place then just give them the code and they'll replace it. But if you lost your keys at a place where there are a bunch of people who know you and your car you might want to ask them for some advice.

Should be under $150.

Getting it cut is a pain, Other than that programing it is a joke, takes like 2 min.

You can buy key blanks on Ebay for cheap too.

i have set an apointment and they told me that it gonna cost 70 dollars to reprogram everything.. but they don't give a new key.

This was the best vehicle they ever made. Mk.1
You never needed to program any keys. Come to think of it, I don't think you really needed a key. It could be turned on by pushing it and releasing clutch fast /jerking the car. :D

So there. Trade your Rabbit for something like this. Use the leftover money to spice it up. ;)
