mkV vs. rsx type s

If you liked the RSX so much why not go with the K powered Si?

different K series motor ;-)

k20a2 and k20z1 come in the rsx type S, which has gobs of potential.

the newer Si's are the k20z3

I'm sure with some minor work (cams maybe) it would be an animal.

They both have the same potential. Your making it seem like its such a big difference. The SI actually has a better intake manifold which becomes very useful once you cam the car.

aren't rsx kinda overpriced?

LOL your comment came out of nowhere. Have you seen the price? One can get the RSX-S 22-23k OTD easily new. Cheaper than the GTI, and comes with leather.

If the car came with: LSD and cd changer, I would take it over the GTI. The RSX is a good daily driver. You really don't need a lot of torque in city streets and the transmission is even smoother than the GTI imo.

Stock, the 1/4 mile would probably lose by a car length.

I didn't get an Si because I didn't really like the look.

Wow I couldn't possibly disagree more. I sold my RSX-S because I felt like it was undrivable in the city and was not fun at all unless I was mashing the throttle on an onramp or something.
