Hi everyone I'm new here. I just bought a golf mk5 gti for my partner and everything seemed good after test driving five bad ones. Having owning it for 2 weeks it's started to idle rough but I'm replacing the pcv valve and cam follower tomorrow so that should sort it all out. The issue I'm having now is the boot won't open twitch the badge it was working fine then I slammed it one night by accident and now it's just give up! I can open it with emergency latch but it's just dead with the badge opening. I took the plastic trim off and tested the wires for a live feed and all is good it's getting a live feed so I'm not sure but I think it need a new lock. much appreciated if someone has an answer for me!
