Cooling hose retaining clip

I canít for the life of me find the retaining clip that goes around the coolant temp sensor housing to the thermostat. Name: 7D61F341-7587-4F43-BFCA-A037F2872832.jpeg

Size: 182.0 KB hereís a photo of the clip circled in red for reference. All Iíve found is this clip https://www.urotuning.com/products/1...=8391950499895 part #1J0121142 but nowhere does it say it fits an FSI bpy. Need this clip to get my car back on the road, itís pretty frustrating when searching yields no results. All help is much appreciated! Last resort is to buy a few clips and find one that fits

All the retaining springs of that type that I see used in the FSI are the 32mm 1J0121142 confirm with dealer

Thanks, I really thought so too, but online suppliers not listing it for many fsiís made me second guess. I donít have a dealership in the town Iím currently in though I managed to find a vw specialist shop and picked up a retaining spring that seems like itíll fit. Just gotta get to the hose now haha

Got the retaining clip on, fits perfectly. I’m pretty confident that’s the right part number, mine looks exactly like that size. Apologies for the semi pointless thread haha

No not pointless. Looking at various parts diagrams for some reason they do not show a retainer/clip as a separate part for that particular hose fitting, making one believe they need to purchase the whole hose piece.

I just did the head job, timing belt, water pump, and oil filter housing job on my Mkv. Myself. Saved over a gran$$. But the worse thing encountered was the clips and electrical snapins are very brittle with time..
