I found a vehicle with an Autocheck score of 77 (due to 1 front/left collision) and 3 owners. Current owner got it on repo and doesn't know much about it. It has been checked out by the dealer and no major issues. Asking price is below KBB for the mileage. I've never owned VWs but understand the DSG needs 40K servicing and that this is TSI motor with timing chain and possible tensioner issues. Anything I should check out when I meet the owner? This is going to be a second car for me to play with....

DSG Flush is important.
Regular oil change is important
Timing chain tensioner is hit or miss, to be safe it should be updated to the latest revision.
ABS pump/module tends to fail on these cars.

That's about if for big issues, other than that it's a VW so it's bound to have various other issues.

How much is it?

But yeah x2 on asking if it had ABS module/pump failure yet(literally seems like they will fail eventually on every 09), and ask if he did the timing chain tensioner yet.
