The ballast is the problem

Had a wheel well to bumper issue today so yanked my headlight, found that the connector to both the ballast and light have some form of blue-green mold looking corrosion on them. The sides and bottom of the board look like it was covered in salt water at some point.

Can provide pics if anyone is curious to see what it looks like. In all my years of dinking with electricals I've never seen anything like this. The ballast was firmly sealed and a slight challenge to get apart.
