WTB: Springs

I need springs! Boing Boing Boing...

heftylefty 12-27-2007 12:28 AM

you can buy mine for 225 shipped...

Brewski 12-27-2007 01:31 AM

Cant i buy them new for 230?

heftylefty 12-27-2007 01:37 AM

sure..plus shipping...which was 25 bucks for them. i bought them for 240 after everything so im gonna eat some of the money.

Brewski 12-27-2007 01:43 AM

so i can save 15 bucks on used springs?

how many miles?

Brewski 12-27-2007 01:46 AM

WTB: Model train set

I want a METAL model train set with a steam engine just like i had when i was little. It needs to go fast and spark when it goes real fast before going off the track and flying across the room. Anybody got one laying around?

heftylefty 12-27-2007 01:47 AM

theyre brand new havent put em on, just sitting in the box haha

Brewski 12-27-2007 01:49 AM

oh lol

I'll do 200 pick up then

heftylefty 12-27-2007 01:50 AM

thats cool with me. i could bring em on the 5th if everyone decided to meet up

Brewski 12-27-2007 01:53 AM

will these be ok with stock shocks? how low is the drop?

this is gunna set back my model train purchase

heftylefty 12-27-2007 01:55 AM

depends on how new your shocks are(ie. how many miles). if its low miles then itll be fine for a decent amount of time. the spring rate is just a tad bit more agressive than the sport springs but not enough the blow the shocks soon like the spring rates on race springs.

heftylefty 12-27-2007 01:56 AM

http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35949

thats the drop of hte supersports on stock shocks

Brewski 12-27-2007 01:56 AM

i got stock shocks with like 7k almost i think

heftylefty 12-27-2007 01:57 AM

then youre totally fine. i have 30k on my stock shocks so new springs would wear them out sooner than later.

Brewski 12-27-2007 02:00 AM

how long do you think they would last?

heftylefty 12-27-2007 02:10 AM

its tough to say, but it should last quite sometime. i dont think ive read about anyone blowing their stock shocks with sport springs though. im no suspension expert but this is the info ive gathered from talking with people that knew more than a thing or two about suspensions.

depends entirely on how you drive and the road conditions the shocks are subjected too chris.

I've got a pair of factory stock Mats I don't need (no more GTI). $25 if anyone wants them. Gotta pick them up. I'm in Bellevue.
