Pretty cool to see those with long histories of VWs.

Not my first car but my first VW was a MK2 Jetta, a few cars in between and then a MK5 GTI. Then I "upgraded" to a Focus ST and then really upgraded to a MK6 GTI that is stage 1 by Cobb. I have a MK7 R on its way (any day now!).

I always have an economical car and an SUV, which is my snow and beach vehicle.

My GTI's current stablemate is a 2006 4Runner:

Prior to my GTI, I owned a 2014 Focus ST:

Prior to my 4Runner, I owned a brand new 2012 Wrangler Unlimited, which blew a cylinder head at 7,000 miles and I ditched it shortly thereafter:

Prior to my Focus ST, I owned a 2012 Passat TDI:

Prior to my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited, I happily owned a 95 Wrangler for many years. Here are my then very young sons driving it:

For a short time, I concurrently owned these two incredible beasts, a 1996 Passat TDI wagon and a 2006 Golf TDI, both proper 5 speeds:

Adding this last pic of the Golf's dashboard, which was one of my favorite ever:

I owned a sh*tload of cool cars before these, but the list would get even more ridiculously long than it already is. I also skipped all of my ex-wife's cars.

My trusty 1993 W250LE, first truck bought in 2005 before I had my permit. Still have it, never plan to sell it

My first car 1985 Jetta diesel

First mk4 Tdi, my only automatic VW...only had it a few weeks

My second mk4 TDI of several

First new car! 2011 GTI, put 43,000 miles on it in two years and attended several shows, drag races (about 300 passes starting at 700 miles on the car, already tuned APR), and auto x

My 2nd mk2

First mk1, diesel. Saved it from being scrapped.

Third and final Mk2, but this one was a rare turbo diesel. My wife riding shot gun back when we were just dating

My 2006 CBR 600RR

Mk3 2.0, paid $600 for it the same day I got the CBR. Best beater ever!

2013 KTM 250sx I traded the CBR in on. Last mx bike of many since I was 5

3rd mk4 Tdi...Pump Duce so I didn't keep it long. Replaced it with a 2012 Jetta TDI for the wife. Apparently I don't have pics of it on PB

Second new car. 2013 TDI

Nissan hardbody I got for free dubbed "The Freesan". Had lots of good times with it ha

Geo Tracker I got for $500, literally would go anywhere

Sold the Tracker to make room for this. Didn't keep it long tho

Overall I've had 16 Volkswagens including my current mk7. I've always owned at least one at any given time since I got my license almost 10 years ago and I can't see myself daily driving anything else

Nah...the 370Z, GT-R and Range Rover are gone. It's not worth posting my 99' Jeep Cherokee or Volvo 850 I figured.

But this 97' Eagle Talon was one of my old projects. Way too many mods to list but made 521whp and ran 10.9 @130mph many moons ago.

Had been learning to drive, off and on, since 17, and passed my driving test a month or so before my 19th birthday in 1990
No photos as yet, mostly due to not having any, but here goes (hopefully in chronological order)......

Learning to drive cars. All 3 didn't last long.
1980 RWD Mazda 323
1981 Talbot Solara
1978 Ford Escort (Rally look)

New Driver cars.
1983 Austin Metro
1987 Austin Maestro - left to me by my aunt.
1988 Austin Metro Vanden Plas

Cheap 'n' cheerful
1988 Suzuki SJ413 'jeep'
1990 MG Metro 1300
1989 Ford Fiesta S

Daily Runners with the 1961 Minor as Classic/backup
1993 Mini Mayfair 1.3 (could be placed in classic list below, but was a daily runner in 2000/2001)
1996 Citroën AX

21st Century Motoring (getting old).
2002 Skoda Fabia 1.4 Comfort (First VAG car-big step up from what had gone before).
2006 Citroen C4 VTR+ (Massive step up)
2013 Golf 7 (current car and stratospheric leap)

Classic Car Ownership:-

Previous Classics-Bit too fragile
1955 Morris Minor 4-dr (part owned with my brother)
1961 Morris Minor Tourer (soft-top convertible)

My Current Classic of this 1948-1990 model. An absolute blast.
1988 Citroën 2CV - My holiday touring companion owned since 2002 and probably never let go.

Currently considering buying one of these three cars to add to my classic collection.

1920's/30's Austin Seven Chummy
1930's/40's/50's Citroën Traction Avant (preferably small boot (trunk) 11CV légère).
1990's Mini Cooper Classic with small wheel arches and 12in alloys.
