I recently found out about Wuste and am quite interested in going. I've never been to one of these festivals so I was curious if anyone's ever been before or planning on going this year.

I'm pretty excited about this and have already planned some vacation time off work for this. Would love to know how these things usually play out.

The WEBSITE doesn't offer much information yet other than hotel reservations at Palace Station, for anyone going, are you staying here or somewhere on the strip? I usually go to drink and gamble so I've never stood off the strip.

Volkswagen attends Wuste 2012 in Las Vegas

UPDATE: May 24, 2013

With registration now closed and packets being mailed out, I have one question. Who's going?

UPDATE: June 3, 2013

Pictures from wuste. Full collection here

ive went in the past. but travelling so far only to be disappointed is a major reason as to why im not going. its a great concept, just terrible execution (coming from 5yrs of past wuste events.)

personally looking at DubFest in Sept.

I'm sure I'll catch heat for my opinions so if you want anymore insight, PM me.

San Francisco to Vegas does add some miles to your car, I'm going from Los Angeles so it's not that bad, hell of an excuse to go back to Vegas anyway. Yeah I'd like to hear about it though, even though yes, it's just your opinion, PMing!

Wuste is definitely alot of fun, not for the show but more for the Caravan going out to vegas and the "hanging out" the show is whatever. But i had a fun experience when i went. Dubfest is more of a show, rather then a weekend experience.

yup, a lot of people start from LA and start picking up forum members on the way, passing OC, Riverside, San Bernardino. by the time you get into Nevada you might be rolling 15-20 deep

The caravan thing sounds like a blast! Ill look for the white van pulling up. I'm driving my R up there. Nothing you haven't seen but I still want to show it off lol.
Plus I don't know anybody in that possible caravan group.

I'm hoping good things for dubfest, but it's been going downhill the past few years. The last time I registered, it was for Irwindale, and it turned out to be a show in the corner of the raceway parking lot with like 60 cars. I don't mind paying the registration because I feel like I'm putting back into the car community, but that was a joke.

I go to Wuste mainly for the fact that it's IN Vegas. Gives me an excuse to go out there and party and get fucked up Fear and Loathing style. The show is whatever. It's more for the experience. I know this year the show is at LV Speedway, which is like 30min away from the strip. It'll be very hot and there isn't much shade at the venue. The speedway has a covered area that fits about 40 cars. Also, you get bored, and you don't have much to do. You can't walk into the casino and you can't walk back to your room. I'll be going to Vegas this year for Wuste, but I'm not sure if I'll be going to the actual show.

Excuse my lack of knowledge here but what's Wuste in comparison to "the show" not the same thing? I don't know any details other than word of mouth and videos I've seen. Nothing on the website, little on the facebook page. I thought Wuste was held not too far from the end of the strip...

Sorry, I should've been more clear. Wuste is the actual show/event. It is being held at Las Vegas Speedway this year. I'll be going to Vegas and staying on the strip like everyone else, however I might not attend the actual show at Las Vegas Speedway.

No worries, I see what you mean now. Yeah I love Vegas and I love these cars so it seemed like a no brainer too me. Never been to a car show like this other than L.A Auto and O.C Auto but you know that's all car makes and models.

I'll be doing both for sure, looking forward to Wuste but you gotta take advantage of the location, will definitely be doing some partying too. Went in February, it was cold...or so they tell me, lol.

IMO, you should definitely check out SoCal euro. I've been to 2 and had a blast both times.

socal euro is the shit and the fact its 15 min from home is even better. considereing wuste but i saw some footage of last years and i saw fights and people get really brave and a lot of courage that comes with the consumption of alcohol. still considering it but not sure yet

Ahh you must be a new Euro enthusiast if you don't know about SoCal Euro. It's the biggest meet in California, ever. Even people from NorCal make the trek to San Diego for the meet. Even caravaning from LA is fun.

A whole bunch of utah VW enthusiasts will be caravanning to wuste 2013.

I've never been. it'll be my first. Already reserved my room at the hotel, like two weeks ago.
