Hello, I'm trying to figure out what part number this item is. Or any other details about what it is and what it connects to? Where it explains what the numbers are exactly?

It is #7. Mine seems to be leaking some oil from beneath it.

Also what is #8? It looks to be some kind of pump.

I tried to find a service manual to figure out what part this is but it's a pain, I may have to buy one now.

Thank you for your time.

Looks like a coolant hose (#7) to the auxiliary coolant pump(#8). Its the pump that runs coolant after you shut off your car for a while. At least it is on the BPY GTI motor.

So this is for your FSI?? How about a model and year and engine.

The picture you have posted is for a FSI BPY, #8 is the Coolant pump V50(auxiliary pump), # 7 hose from pump to lower upper radiator hose.

The hoses from that pump

My apologies I was tired, yes it is for the FSI BPY engine.

It looks like the right part, thank you for the links to the exact parts I require!

I don't mean to bump this old thread but it's actually the wrong hose.

That isn't #7, but number #5 you can tell just by the shape of the hose. Where did you get the information from?

I have been searching but I cannot find a similar diagram or parts, does anyone else know what number 7 is?

What old thread, not even a week yet. The hoses in the link to ECS are the V50 pump hoses for a BPY unless you have an engine built before June 2005. The diagrams do not always show the actual shape or the complete piece. Here are some pictures from front of a FSI BPY V50 pump & hoses.

You can actual read the part number on the hose number 5 in your 1st post

I'm an over-baked potatoe, my feeble brain looked at the #7 hose orientation and I didn't accept it for some reason.

I was under my car the other day and realized where it went... you were right this whole time.

You linked me #5 which is 1K0121063J, then #7 being 1K0122063G.

I'm sorry I feel so stupid...thank you for taking the time to show my pea-brain an actual picture of the hose! The diagrams are strange, I guess it's a large puzzle
