Small bugatti using our 2.0T FSI engine with 280HP and 320HP versions with a seven speed DSG auto. I'll take a 320HP Seven speed DSG in my GTI! Also, the passat and the next gen GOLF VI platform 3.6 VR6 with 280HP NA and 400HP turbo charged version. Imagine a 400HP factory R36 with AWD and a 7 speed DSG trans. That would be sick! Scirocco in 2008 with a 200HP or 230HP 2.0T and an AWD version with the 3.6VR6. So that definately means the MkVI is coming with an R36.

I don't see a 400hp engine going into a Golf platform for quite a while. That'll put into competition with the likes of the Audi RS4 and E92 M3, both of which are twice the price of the current R32. 300hp maybe, but 400hp? No way.

Sign me up for the Scirocco 3.6... I'm going for that baby in 2009 for sure.

Granted the 230hp 2.0T would be awesome if it were available with the AWD. With the performance gains we're seeing on chipped 200hp 2.0T's, I imagine that a chipped 230hp would be a nice alternative. I'd definitely choose that over the 3.6 if it had AWD.

230HP 2.0t is the same as the 200HP 2.0t in our GTI, they just call it 230HP since our engines are under-rated.

How are they underrated when people are getting 185-90 hp stock on a dyno, and then around 220-30 with a chip?

ive seen 196hp dynos from 185-200HP dynos.

the car should have a transmission loss of about 15% when dynoed. and 185HP+ is definantly not 15%.

now 230HP with a drivetrain loss of 15% would = about the same amount of dyno HP the current numbers are at.

they did the same to the 1.8t, the 1.8t when rated at 150HP were making 150HP at dynos, so about a year or two later they started rating them @ 180HP, and what do you know, they same power was made on the dyno as the old 1.8t.

The advertised numbers are a the crank. The dynos are at the wheels (ones I have seen). The difference is as stated above. HP at the wheel is the more impressive numbers and for our cars to put out almost 200 at the wheels means the advertised # should be around 230
