VW 2009 Jetta 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition - Valve Cover Gasket

Hello guys!

I currently own a 2009 Jetta 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition 6 speed manual. The issue I have is that the engine light recently turned on and it was a misfire issue on the engine. I thought it was the spark plugs, and when I went to replace them I found oil on the nearest one to the oil filter. Here is the thing, about a year ago I got the oil change and the oil filter was not placed correctly and the car was out of oil within days of driving it. Is there a possibility that the oil got into the spark plugs from that issue of when the oil filter was placed incorrectly? I've called around and mechanics say it's a valve cover gasket but I recently replaced the spark plugs and I have been checking the spark plugs every two days to see if there is any oil and there is not. What do you guys think?
Also my car just turned 80K and shops want to charge me about $300 to $500 for the "80K Maintenance Service" and they'll check the valve cover gasket to actually verify that's the issue.

Here is a pic of the spark plugs.
