Timing belt and water pump kits

Hi all,

Could anyone please recommend a timing belt and water pump kit for my 2005 Golf 2.0L FSI engine BLX?

What's the average price, is there some brands that are better then others and where could I pick one up for a good price? I'm located in Sydney however I'm sure most places sell internationally anyway.

Any advice appreciated, thank you all!!

Cheers

You can always check for what is available at ECS Tuning:

When doing the timing belt, I suggest a kit having both rollers and a water pump.
As far as belt brands go...people are using Conti, INA and Gates. I've used Conti.

Kits including the rollers...and well, who knows which brand the rollers are. Even genuine OE is likely to be supplied by one of them. But will cost you more.

Hey thanks for your reply 😊
I ended up getting a Geba water pump with metal impeller and Optibelt timing kit

Hopefully it'll all go well

It's really hard to find any kind of manuals for the BLX engine or any info in general 😑

Thanks again for your help
