Timing advance having no effect in power

hey guys, so I've been having this issue for almost a year now where my turbo wouldn't have a boost spike anymore, it still builds and holds boost fine until redline but the spike it had before is now gone, I did everything possible, checked for boost leaks, replaced N75, DV, PCV valve, Wastegate Actuator(plus readjusted preload), MAP, MAF, etc....after having done all this only one thing remaining would be the turbo itself that probably has gone bad...but then all this has also led me to discover something else, which now I'm not sure if it might be related, I have a Revo tune(K04) on 93 oct, so I've tried to play with the boost and timing settings using the SPS Select + module from Revo and I've noticed it makes no difference whenever I put timing 4 or 8 ??? as in before, I couldn't go past timing 4 before I started seeing some corrections, now I start seeing only -3 when I set it to setting 9..and it feels like it's making no difference as far as HP goes....could this mean there's something wrong with my ECU or tune? If I change let's say from 4 to 1 I do feel the difference in less power but not if I go up in the settings....? could this also be related to the boost issue not spiking as before?

Anyone who has experienced this before or has any input, I would truly appreciate it.

Boost spike, albeit somewhat normal, is not desirable. It is a sign the WG is held closed too long for not triggering the WG control to open the WG quickly enough, given how fast our turbo builds boost. I would almost be happy to see it gone. But given it is normal seeing it on our engines, I too would look in to it further. Not familiar with Revo software and its settings myself, but have you thought to contact them directly?

So I did reach out to them and they told me to contact my local Revo dealer, I called my local Revo dealer (there’s only one in all of south Florida) and they told me that if im hitting 20-23 psi of boost then I haven’t lost the map and that the sps must be working fine if it’s letting me change the boost (which it is) if I lower the boost setting it does boost less so they told me that both the tune and the sps module seem to be fine, also that if it was something wrong with the ecu I would be getting all kinds of fault codes and I haven’t got any codes 🤷🏽‍♂️

The only mechanical thing I can think of is the waste-gate is loose. Because preload is what sets/controls the initial boost spike. Dependent upon the status of the boost containment of course. I did see you mention you did reset and/or adjusted it as well. Not sure how much you added, but you may try a bit more just to see if 'perhaps' the WG flap is loose. I noticed when I removed my old K04 in May, the WG flap was loose and I could spin it. That was with 2mm/2 turns of preload. But still, it should've been snug. I needed to add two more turns before the WG flap got snug again and no longer spun as easily. This is with a Forge WGA and yellow spring.
