Nowhere did I say that going to the college is the only way to make money. I think it's ridiculous just how few people consider a career in blue collar jobs. I know you can make great money in those fields, but in the area where I live, tech jobs are the most available and the highest potential salaries. The blue collar jobs here don't have the same opportunities for high salaries given the cost of living in the Bay Area. If you can make it work where you are, then more power to you. But you don't meet to be condescending about my choice of study.

Industry isn't bipolar. Yes, maybe some people, like you, have no need for higher education, but speaking as someone who actually enjoys - let alone survived - the pursuit, I can tell you that the last job I found could buy that cute abode of yours in a single year.
