While most of the type 2 cases we hear about are self inflicted, there is that subset where genetics come into play. Diabetes recently has gotten a bad rep because all you hear is that it is self inflicted and most bystanders don't understand the difference, so they tell people to lose weight and watch their carb intake - which works for many type two, but not for type 1 or the "genetic" type 2.^this....and for those that don't know look into the difference between type 1 and 2. Most type 2 cases are self inflicted.
The UK is seeing a rise in COVID cases again because of the Delta variant. virtually all of the cases are amongst the unvaccinated and <50 hospital admissions far exceed the >65 hospitalizations.Countries with high vaccination rates are seeing deaths plummet. Those with low rates seeing rates drastically rise.
It's almost like the vaccines miniscule number of serious outcomes is much lower than the number of bad outcomes from getting covid 19.
