I thought they'd switch from Qwerty at the start of the PC explosion. Totally second nature now but I imagine there's a more intuitive layout somewhere out there.

I'm curious to know how some of those in this thread would argue that hospitals are empty and cases are rising when a predominantly red state, with a Republican governor, and a Fox news outlet is admitting to it.

The intervention had nothing to do with creating a different government for the Afghanis. One of the main mistakes people make us to think that it was the US as a country involved in Afghan. It wasn't. It was a collcmection of different groups/factions within the g't (and outside of it) from the DoD to private military companies (similar to Blackwater) to infrastructure contractors to arms manufacturers to CIA, etc. The capitol hill and their buddies couldn't care less about democracy, etc. It was all about money. Someone made lots of it.

Funny how risk gets socialized for the wealthy yet the profits are always privatized.

Meanwhile, the middle and lower class folks generally receive a weaponized form of capitalism along with some combination of the following admonishments:

“YOU’RE JUST LAZY!!”

“PULL YOURSELF UP BY YOUR BOOTSTRAPS!!”

“I CAME FROM NOTHING (if you ignore my parent’s immense generational wealth) SO IF I CAN MAKE IT, ANYONE CAN!!”

“WE’RE ALL BORN EQUALLY/WE HAD THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES!!”
