Regarding the topic of NATO bombing the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia because of what the F.R.Y. did in Kosovo....i.e. the ethnic cleansing & bloodshed of Albanians.
There are huge amounts of independent first had witnesses to the atrocities during this war committed by the F.R.Y. The facts are irrefutable in courts of law as has been proven in the decades since.
Iraq is well known as a total disaster as the British were then in Afghanistan wiping out the Taliban. Tony Blair was convinced by his best mate..George W Bush..the POTUS at the time, that is was a good idea to bomb Iraq because of 9/11....So we pulled out of Afghanistan & the Taliban grew in strength & caused problems later on..(now)
Tony Blair should have told G.W.Bush to GTFO....but the UK was still paying off the WWII debt (Marshall plan) to the USA at the time & we were still under the "special friendship"....
The fact that you speak about cleansing of Albanians and don't speak of the genocide of the endemic Serbs in Kosovo (yes, Albanians were largely invited to settle in Kosovo by Tito, while for the Serbs Kosovo was a native land for centuries) means BBC has done its job as a propaganda loudspeaker. I remember this one time a BBC reporter, with a straight face, was saying NATO aviation spotted mass graves of Albanian Kosovars. Aviation spotted mass graves. Just let that sink in.
I bet BBC didn't report in their news about NATO air strikes that landed bombs on a perinatal center in Belgrade. And remember the Chinese embassy? I bet they were genociding the poor UÇK that had done nothing wrong since the mid 90s, yeah.
Lol. The British intelligence was the one that provided fake info about Iraq in the first place. Or do you imagine that Bush sat down with Tony this one day and said: "Let's bomb Iraq, it will be fun, we found a few Tide pods that we think can be used as WOMD." And Tony was like, reluctantly: "I guess we can..."
You can't honestly still, 20 years later believe that the invasion of Iraq in 2003 by Bush, Rumsfeld and co. had anything to do with 9/11.
So once the UK is out of the "special friendship", the UK will disband half its military and will stop participating in humanitarian bombings worldwide? Because as far as I can tell, the building of new aircraft carriers and F-35s doesn't fit the peaceful paradigm too well.
