Thanks for bringing something to the table. We peaked weeks ago, the last peak looks like 10 weeks ago. It's falling off a cliff.
Year over year deaths are still the same.
It's easy to pad the numbers when you count every death as corona 'more often than not' per CDC.
Doesn't change 99.98% survival for most on the forum. Doesn't change that only 6% of these are really from the virus, per CDC.

Yeah. I just like letting you know you're still okay with people dying preventable deaths.

Also, if you want to live like Sweden - Hand over more of your money to taxes and socialize healthcare..
https://taxfoundation.org/bernie-sanders-scandinavian-countries-taxes/#:~:text=Sweden's top personal tax rate,U.S. income (around $500,000).

You mean like the Dems will do if they win the election? Biden has already said that he is raising taxes and reversing the corporate tax reduction that Trump introduced that was the primary factor in the economy and jobs exploding. No one can deny that the US economy was great and jobs were being added and a lot of companies were bringing back jobs to the US. Unemployment was at an historic low. And then Covid happened. I agree that Trump didn't do the things he should have done with respect to Covid. The worst time to change the corporate tax rate will be when the pandemic subsides.

It's time to pay for all the money they handed out. And I highly doubt the Dems will make the US tax rate anything like Swedens. They tax at 51% when you make 1.5x the national average. The US's highest tax rate is 43.7%, and you have to make almost 10 times the national average to reach that tax bracket(9.3x) - or around a cool half million in yearly earnings.

Laughing my ass off that you think the tax cuts did anything for jobs. It's empirically shown that money went into stock buybacks and corporate coffers.

I love it when people who aren't employers try to make claims about these types of things do - you don't employ anyone - how would you know what the tax code changes did to employment?

I know for a fact that not a single executive looked at their financials after 2018 and said "alright we got all this extra money back from tax cuts, let's hire!" It just doesn't even factor in.

I know they won't raise the tax rate like Sweden but the worst time to change the corporate tax rate will be when the economy can fully open again. The companies that were bringing jobs back to the US will reverse course.

And Trump had already negotiated Nafta so it's more favorable to the US. And he was getting close to finally winning concessions from China since over time China had gained large advantages that caused the trade imbalance to explode.

Hey the only reason I'm for Trump is the economy and to stave off socialism for four more years. Otherwise I think Trump is a jerk who says stupid things but he sure the hell has the best interests of the US at the forefront.

I've been an employer in the past. I've owned businesses that employed over 40 people. You are wrong about the corporate tax rate reduction. Several companies did and were continuing to bring back previously outsourced jobs. Apple is a good one that has. TSMC is building a multi billion dollar chip fabricating plant in Arizona. Many more.
Why don't you ask a real economist what Trump's tax cuts for corporations did for the economy?
And if those companies didn't start bringing jobs back to the US and the unemployment rate went to an historic low how do you explain that?

I’ll trade my “tax cuts” and this “booming economy” for a return in regulations that will stop the rampant exploitation of our public lands. A return of emissions regulations that will actually clean and protect the quality of the air, water, and soil. A far less polarized population, etc... but mostly I can‘t wait to see trump getting drug, kicking and screaming like a 3yo, off the White House property in January.

If Biden wins, I hope his inauguration speech begins, “Donald Trump, you’re fired.”

Such an intelligent and mature response. Sierra Club groupies. So third grade of you.

Copying my post. Do you always plagiarize? At least I didn't call anyone names or insult their intelligence like the response of mine you copied directed at someone else. Those Sierra club members go far too far. Even though I won't be around for that long I do care about the environment for the future no matter how bleak it looks for the environment and the continuance of the US as we have known it. It's a pretty sad society when if I didn't have insurance and had to go to the hospital emergency room I would have to declare bankruptcy to avoid the bill collectors but an illegal immigrant can go to the emergency room and get treated and not pay and no one is coming after them for payment.

Sierra Club, illegal immigrants... why not toss in some ANTIFA, Hillary’s emails, and terrorists while your are falling for the appeal to fear.

So, pray tell, what exactly do those Sierra Club members do to go too far? This should be good.

As for your poorly executed attempt at deflection, I’ll engage.

That illegal immigrant is, above all else, a fellow human being. They are entitled to the same basic human rights as you, I, and every other human being on this planet.

You, sir, are exactly what is wrong with our nation and society. As long as you get yours, you don’t care about others.

You say you are one visit to the ER away from financial ruin, if not for your health insurance. Considering the nationwide average for an ER visit is between $1000- $3000, you don’t seem to be in a good place financially. I suggest looking into a public option for health care. The Affordable Care Act is designed to assist individuals in your apparent demographic. The best part, your payments are proportional to your income, so you can better survive wIthout crushing premiums or copays.

My family is fortunate enough to be entitled to government funded healthcare, at no cost to me. Yet, I still carry private insurance through my employer to help offset some of those costs otherwise carried by the tax payer. Even without my health coverage, I’m far from one ER visit away from ruin. I am happy to be in my income bracket, and I am happy to pitch into the pot so folks like you, or that illegal immigrant, can receive the same level of healthcare I do. More importantly, to seek that care, and not possibly die, because you and they worry about how they will pay for it.

But go on man, keep biting the hand that feeds you.

Not to mention how long it's going to take for the economy to recover due to how poorly the president has handled this pandemic.

Not only does jim have his whole head up trump's ass, now he's going for the shoulders. You can do it man, just wiggle a little bit.
