Started the car (mk5 GTI fsi) this came up....

I recently replaced the intake manifold (july of 2022 approx) along with the other stuff that was causing the CEL prior...but now this is coming up. Mechanic thinks VW (who did the intake manifold) used crappy parts...could this just be a blip? He suggested I clear the codes and see what happens. What do we think?

You could clear it and see what comes back, did these come up because you scanned the car for new engine light or you just decided to run a scan?

Basic setting is strange because that should have been done after the replacement manifold. You can see how to perform basic setting here, pay attention to the Notes under that procedure.

A CEL came on yesterday, 2nd start of the day. I cleared the codes this morning and nothing as come on yet...

I guess you will find out soon enough, some of those Dtc need two drive cycles before they turn the Mil on.

Welp, it just came back on (08825- Intake Air System). Its the only code. Mechanic thinks it may be intake manifold, vacuume seal or boost leak :(
