Damn, I was actually thinking about tracking down a set of Tarmac 3s just last week. I guess that I'll just save a little longer for a set of TeamDynamics instead.

I see those same links and pictures posted every time. I'll show you hundreds of threads where people run these and have zero issues. Yes, Rotas are inexpensive cast wheels. Yes, there's better out there but they're not going to implode if you run them on the track.

All wheels have some failures. The STi was destroyed if you know the backstory to that. Rota's make decent wheels.
I don't care. Rota is a knock off wheel and they have been known to fail. There may be more to each of these cases than that, but I would personally just avoid them.

would you seriously risk totaling your GTI b/c you want a set of "cool" wheels if a wheel manufacturer is known to have serious flaws like 1 piece cast wheels becoming 2 piece dont buy them why take the risk? ... just my $0.02
