Rabbit (with Sport Package)'s ECM

I searched for this.. but I couldn't find anything... I guess because US Rabbit doesn't have sport package...

so... can I make the fog lamps (part of the sport package) to work as DRLs??

From searching this forum... I found that only highline Rabbit (US) has that ECM to activate the fog lamps... now the dealer is telling me that since the fog lamps was an option add on (but it's part of a package)... I can't make the fog lamps as the DRLs with VAG-COM... but can fog lamps run with out a proper ECM?!

so does anyone know if I can active fog lamps as DRLs on a Sport Rabbit?

you want only the fogs to run as DRL and disable the rest?

more then likely yes. it's hard to say. there probably isn't a label file for the ECM yet IF it is different then the current ones.

If your car has the highline you can VAGCOM the fogs as DRL's.

Thats what I did on ours

You need a highline ECM. The dealer can tell you if yours is a high/mid/lowline ECM.
