quick question (painting bodykit)

what's a reasonable price on painting and installing a bodykit.

Well, I think it depends which bodyshop you go to.
Painting and installing usually run around 1000 - 1500.
My friend did it at some cheap bodyshop and paid 850 for his audi A4.
He said he kinda regrets because the fitment was kinda off.. so,
make sure you go to nice one.. its worth it. :smile:

oh yeah, btw, they keep your car for 4-7 days depends where you go. they kept my friends car for 2 weeks. jerks!!!!

well, i am not sure why its so expensive either.. but
the price is for everything including front lip, side skirt, & rear piece.

If you can find a person that does it out of their garage (with good skills/tools) price should drop a lot. My dad had his car painted fully for 1,500 and looks perfect. I am planning on getting lip/sideskirts/rear painted for no more than 500.

i am going to attempt doing the cosmetic work and installation on a rear valance. i've never done anything of this sort. keep your fingers crossed.

the ABT kit on my Audi cost $1200 to prep / paint and install. the body shop stated that if the pieces need more time for prepping and fitting, the cost would be higher. since the ABT pieces were bang-on, it didn't take them too much time to prep / paint / install.
