Putting an MK6 rear bumper on an MK5.

Hello everyone I was wondering if it is possible to put an mk6 rear bumper onto my mk5. I know the bumpers are a bit different but looking at pictures it seems the 2 are very similar around where it meets up with the rest of the car.

It is possible, but requires body work. Found this guy. Combined a mk5 r32 bottom with a Mk6 top. He said the widths don’t match up.
