Power loss - turbo not building boost as before!

Dialing it in means adding just enough WM mix to eliminate any timing loss but no more than that. If you spray too much it can cause a loss of power all the way to misfiring depending on how far you overshoot your need.

Try switching to the 250. Set START at 4 and MAX at 30 and run a log with WM on. Start there and lets see if we can clean up your timing losses and turn them to zeros. To be sure we have not added too much once we get to zeros we will again adjust spray until we just begin to see some timing being pulled and then add just enough spray back in to go to all zeros.

I think you have nailed it down, now that you mentioned it, I did have some misfires before but never thought it would be related to that...so it does seem like it’s overspraying, I’ll start getting into it and get back to you with an update. Thanks!

So quick update...

I haven’t been able to log yet BUT after changing FULL psi to 30 (haven’t changed the jet yet) was able to hit 23 psi again on 6th gear!
will try to get some logs tonight to check timing pull

So by setting MAX out further than your actual max boost we are keeping the pump from pumping at full pressure and reducing spray. The downside of turning down the pump on a larger jet than we need is that atomization of the spray will not be as good as it would be under full pressure using a smaller jet.

In your case, you have the fuel required by the tune so you are just after the best cooling you can get and you want the most evaporation you can get. In general I have had better results by placing the cooling jet further back in the stream (right after intercooler) rather than where you have it. My concern with a larger jet in that location is that you may be spraying liquid directly onto MAP with that larger jet running on reduced pressure. It would be best to try a smaller jet and be able to use the full pressure of the pump against the already higher pressure of air in the tube especially with the jet in its current location.

I was going by what the AEM manual said. As you could see below, 10-25psi boost they tell you to use the 500cc jet, so I find this odd to be honest.

I ran some logs, set the START on the progressive controller to 9 psi, and the FULL to 30 psi. The power is back but experienced some misfires late in the RPMs

Started with T4, 0 timing correction among all cylinders, 0 misfires, boost up to 22 psi

For extra assurance, I did one more run at T6, but this time I brought the FULL dial down to 20 PSI. Interesting enough, there were no misfires, 0s in all cylinders, BUT power did go down, to like 19-20 psi (didn't log but could read from boost gauge)

Happy to help. I think you will like the results when dialed in.
I will be around this weekend, let me know how it goes.
As mentioned it looks like you need to spray earlier so you will have to bring your start position down to a lower number. There is a certain lag between the engine reaching boost and the WM system responding so the settings on the dial are not accurate they are just for reference. Your logs will tell you when it is coming on.

NOTE - I looked at your diagram again, if you don't have a dash mounted on/off switch for the system, you should put one in. You can save a lot of WM mix if you aren't spraying it all the time and your tune does not require it. You just turn it on when you want to go canyon carving or go to track etc.

Looking at your T7 run with no WM, it appears the ECU is pulling back timing about 2900 to 4500 rpm quite a bit so we want to cover that first and get you to spray early enough to get all of those -3s seen from 2900 rpm to 4500 rpm to zero. After 4500 it looks like tune must richen up and only cyl2 still has timing loss so if we are careful not to add too much we may get lucky and take care of the full rpm range. I would start with 4 and max of 30 with the 250cc nozzle.

Looking at your T7 run with WM on, it appears your WM system is not spraying until about 4800 rpm as you have all of the same timing loss below 4600 rpm as you do with WM off.

So the process I use is to start off with a log with no WM to see where the WM is needed. We have that in your logs. It appears that we need to spray pretty early but we don't need too much after 4800 rpm as it appears your tune richens up and the top end looks not terrible.

Ok, so I was finally able to work on this after a full weekend of nonstop raining (got hit with a tropical storm out of the blue )

Here are the logs with the smaller(250cc) jet.

First run, Revo settings at Boost 8 - Timing 4 - Fuel 7, WMI set to START spraying at 4 psi, FULL spray at 30 psi.

Again, there seems to be some timing pull correction on Cylinder 3, from 3000 to ~4700 rpm.

After setting the FULL dial down from 30 to 25 psi and the START from 4 to 3 psi, this correction disappeared BUT notice how the power output also decreased.

So this means it's still spraying too much up top?

Drum roll..... How did she run? Better or worse... are we going in right direction?
How does the plug in cyl 3 look. (check gap and plug color again)
I'll have to check it tomorrow.

The car definitely ran better when I had the full spray dial set to 30 psi. I could feel the power back. I'll have to run some more logs though to be 100% sure, will see if I can do that tomorrow night as well (if bad weather doesn't get in the way)

but yeah looks like we're going in the right direction, just got to keep playing with the settings. The last run I'm not sure if it was that my turbo was already heat soaked and that's why it didn't spike at much as before. Will see....do you think I should keep the full spray at 30 psi? Or maybe lowering the start? Since it looks like it’s not spraying enough below 4700 rpm
