I was driving a Mk6 Jetta Wagon. Still have it. I had a S4 wagon before that. I was going to keep the S4...but ended up selling it.

I traded in my '07 MazdaSpeed3 back in July 2010. It was a scramble to have all the stereo and performance equipment removed within 5 days.

Listing more than one since I just picked up the VW back in December, making 3 rides in under 3 years🤪

Nice.

Interesting how many people came from bigger, muscle type cars to the GTI.

It definitely makes parking easier.
Too right! The FiST is the ultimate go-cart. The EcoStang's a barge by comparison. My GTI is the perfect compromise as far as size, ride quality and performance. A cut above, no doubt!

Traded in a 2012 jetta s for my first GTI. Then went GTI->GTI. That jetta was not a fun car stock but looking back I feel like that inline 5 had a lot of untapped power

only in 1st gear with that 4.XX ratio. Redlined at 20mph lol. It was slow after 1st gear. I had a MK5 Jetta 2.5 and a MK6 Jetta 2.5. The MK5 drove way better, and the transmission tuning was worlds better.

The CSG was my 1st MK7, 2015 2-door SE 6MT w/ LP but no PP. an interestingly appointed car for sure. I understeered it into the curb on a highway exit w/ 1764 miles on the clock. It never drove the same after that.

fortunately it was a lease and when the lease was up I bought another 2015 GTI, this one a Night Blue 4-door S w/ DSG. I fkn hated that car, it never had so much as a CEL but something about it was cursed. It got 25-30mpg highway the day I bought it and felt like the stock suspension was already completely worn.

I basically just saved up from the moment I got my 2nd MK7 for an Alltrack, and when COVID hit and mfrs had those slammin deals I was able to take the bath on the blue GTI and get into a GFG 2019 Alltrack SE 6MT w/ Appearance (LED lights + canyons) and Driver Assist Packages. I had wanted one since VW announced the Alltrack in 2014. Only complaint is it isn’t a diesel :)

I remember loving my mk5 Jetta. First manual transmission I had ever driven in my life. Learned during the test drive lol but it drove so much better than my mk6
