I guess I'm showing symptoms of a bad PCV valve. I pulled the PCV hose off the intake and was met with only slight resistance when I blew into it with the oil cap off. However, the car idles rough when the oil cap is off as well which is a symptom of a good PCV valve.
I have an appointment on Wednesday to get the new revision PCV valve but my question is, how likely is it that the smoke is PCV related? It's definitely oil burning since the smoke is blue and only occurs once in a while right after I give it some boost.
I'm assuming also that since I'm burning oil, this is the reason my brand new spark plugs have black tips. I've read things that say if the front PCV valve is bad, oil can be shot back into the turbo which then enters the intake tract which could be the cause of my occasional flood of smoke (think seafoam).
edit: checking here, they say that the symptoms I'm experiencing are from a blown turbo. I REALLY hope this isnt the case. No VAGCOM in the immediate area and I'm not throwing any CELs
