Playing video on RNS315?

Hi, i'm new, and looking to get a 2011 GTI with Nav. I'm pretty excited, but after reading through some threads here, found out that the 2010's Nav units were marginally better.

I'm wondering if it's possible to play video files off of a USB, SD card, or iPod on the screen itself.

If i understand it correctly, the RNS510 (or whatever the model is in the 2010 GTIs) is able to play videos from these sources.

Hopefully the answer is YES!

No, you cannot play DVD with the RNS315 for any of its input sources. Unfortunately, it was built with a CD drive.

The RNS510 can only play DVD from its DVD drive input. The usb, iPod, sd card and internal harddrive do not support video playback integration.
