Why do we have two identical threads?
Escort 03 aka gscort haha
All jokes aside its a great daily!
I had a '98 ZX2 for years, it was a great car, much better than the early focus we had. Only problem I ever had was the tailpipe rusting off and the alternator blew, although I could blame that on the 1000 watt SQ sound system, lol.
Only have 2 cars at the moment, my GTI and the wife's Sonata, which is also an absolutely great trouble free car. Never seen the inside of a service bay (other than routine) in 90k miles, knock on wood.

Yeah we have an 07 Sonata since new, 110k on it and the only problem its ever had, even minor, was the visors sagging (replaced under warranty). Great solid cars. Oh btw that car is for sale if anyone's interested (burgundy with sport package).
I never said fun to drive or luxurious, but as far as a solid reliable daily driver, it blows the nuts off a GTI. I wouldn't buy one for myself to drive everyday, but for someone who just needs to drive to work every day without worries, yes, it's great.Hyundai= great car... :bellyroll:

You're entitled to your opinion, but you're wrong. Its not 1985 anymore. Hyundai surpassed all the euro makes in quality and reliability long ago. The company went from being the cheapest thing you could buy on 4 wheels to one of the best automakers in the world for quality, and they do it at a significant discount compared to their competition.
And yes, they're relatively soulless, but no more so than Toyota... or the new VWs. Why do you think VW has started making their cars simpler and cheaper? The new Jetta is a train wreck of cheapness, all because Hyundai was selling a better car at a better price, and they still are.
