Just went to see this film...

Awesome movie, really pulled me in, loved the casting aswell, all the characters where honed to perfection (well to me, maybe not a star trek freak..) right down to James.T.Kirks lean in the captains chair :thumbsup:

Has simon peg in aswell, which is a bonus for me in any movie :biggrin:

Excellent special effects, good story aswell.

But the highlight of the cinematic experiance was seeing this in the trailers...

i hope they do more with the same cast...

Not a big Star Trek fan, but i enjoyed the movie. Good selection of cast members too. Worth watching on the big screen for sure.

Star Trek for me was unwatchable. The campiness meter was pegged on 10.

However, the movie. Great flick. Seemed to hold the hand of people who didn't really bother watching the TV series so that you got a sense of who people were and how they fit in. If you enjoy a good sci-fi story and not that partial to Star Trek, give it a try anyway. Recommended.

Yup great movie and fantastic return to Trek movies as well after the huge disappointment of the last several! Trek enough that fans got the little references but not so Trek it drives off people who don't watch it. I loved it although i thought Bana was a bit weak.
