I asked this over on the DIY + Maintenance Forum. But not sensing one will see it, so I am putting this here to you all:
I know, or believe, the torque for the oil filter cup is 25 Nm (18 lb*ft)...this is the 36 mm Hex molded into the bottom of the cup.
But I am finding conflicting numbers for the oil drain bolt.
Documentation I have has a suspiciously low torque of 15 Nm (11 lb*ft) for the drain bolt, and this seems awfully low considering the composite filter cup is 25 Nm (18 lb*ft). Could this be its (the drain plug) torque for the Plastic oil pan and somehow the BPY was included in the documentation I have shown? When everything I find is stating otherwise and says it is 30 Nm (22 lb*ft).
Here is what I have...but can anyone confirm it is not 15 Nm and is in fact 30 Nm (22 lb*ft)?
Perhaps even post a "Prt Sc" shot of your findings?
