Not sure if this has been asked before, but is this a legitimate product?

Seller claims it will work on certain revisions of the RCD510, but after comparing pictures, I don't think it will work on the AE revision I picked up. Seller also doesn't list what particular headunit revisions it works with, just that it's 'OEM' even though I've never seen this mentioned on here or the 'tex.

OE P/N: 5KD 035 726 A

99% sure it won't work and if I want MDI capabilities, I have to buy the factory kit.

Its a legit factory option, they are commonly reproduced and sold cheaply. Only some OEM headhunts have the ports or those to work (Chineese RCD-510)

I don't see why not... Looks like an off the shelf line output converter wired into a factory plug. You can do this yourself, probably much cheaper, by splicing a LOC into your stock harness.
