So now I have installed a Mamba Wastegate w/18lb Spring

I recently installed coilvers on the car and after 2 weeks they got even lower as they broke it, Maybe the same thing is happening to my wastegate. So yea ill check the wastegate out soon just to rule that idea out.

The waste-gate actuator spring should be no more than a 14 lb psi. 12 lb psi would actually work with a 22.5 psi boost target. 18 lb psi spring would be for near 36 psi of boost. WGA spring only needs to be 1/2 of the max boost psi. If there's a 1 bar spring with the WGA, I would install it. Some tunes do not work/play well with aftermarket WGA's. However, given the data I see, I do not think the 18 lb spring is the cause of the lack of boost. I mean, actual boost often looks to be near 5 psi below specified. Can you still test the N75 resistance? They can act up if its ohms drop below 25 ohm. But you can hold off to test as a last resort.

I would think a pressure test is required now. Given all you have replaced. Forget the smoke and pressurize the intake and see if the whole intake system holds the pressure. Since compression is above 190 psi, you should be able to pressurize the intake and it should hold. You just need a valve and gauge so to close it off once 20 to 22 psi is applied and then watch the gauge. A shop may be needed if you do not have the tools. If it definitely holds pressure, I would then recheck the N75 resistance, then lighten the WGA spring, and lighten the WGA preload. You can adjust the preload up if needed, but begin with light preload.

I was under the impression that GTI's could only lessen the amount of boost?
Boost level is determined by wastegate spring pressure
The N75 has 3 ports on it

1'st is the metal feed port , located underneath the sensor electrical plug. (This is the port the where the N75 gets its positive pressure from the turbo)
2nd is the plastic port that goes from the N75, back into the turbo inlet.
3rd is another plastic port that is connected from the N75 to the wasegate actuator pot.

The N75 controls boost by pulsing pressure to the wastegate pot forcing the actuator arm to open the exhaust flap.
This action displayed in terms of Duty Cycle represented as 0-100 %

100% Duty Cycle means that the ECU wants to see more boost.
To achieve more boost the ECU tells the N75 to divert 100% of the pressure that its getting, back into the turbo inlet. Therefor applying 0% of pressure to the wastegate. (keeping it closed)
To achieve less boost the ECU tells the N75 to divert 0% of the pressure its getting back into the turbo inlet. Therefor applying 100% of pressure to the wastegate. (forcing it open)

I replaced my old factory wastegate because I felt like it wasn't holding boost. Before I installed the Mamba Adjustable Wastegate, I was only getting 5psi of boost, it would spike to 9 then only hold 5psi.
So I tested the factory wastegate and the cracking pressure was like 2.5 psi , and full actuation at about 8psi.
So thats what I figured my boost issue was, so I installed the Mamba with the spring that come installed (12psi) and I was only holding 10 psi of boost. Minimum preload set at 3mm.
So I took it out and installed the 18 psi spring and at first I was only getting 17psi spikes, then holding at about 12psi.
Then I set the preload to about 5mm and got to 20psi then up and down fluctations between 15 - 20.

So I turned the preload down to 3mm last night and these are the 2 logs i got

I really dont understand why the AFR reading are soo lean.
i just multiply the 02 Voltage to 14.7 and thats what I get...

I dont understand why my requested boost is lower now that i backed off the adjustment of the wastegate actuator rod.
Isnt the specified boost determined by the ECU?

So this is the next pull I did the same evening 30 minutes later.
Pretty much the same thing. 3rd was spinning the tires then I grabbed 4th gear
Only thing different from the previous graph was that on the pull I went into 5th.

The lean condiitionis really concerning to me. I dont even understand how it can run like that without going into limp mode, or melting the pistons....
Im gonna buy and AEM AFR gauge soon, so I can keep an eye on the AFR;'s while im doing a pull cause that shit is noooo good

Also the sample rate of this obd eleven is pretty slow. its like 1 per second.....
I need Eurodyne Maestro... :(

I feel most of the reductions in boost, wgdc, and throttle angle have something to do with it running lean.
My guess is you either have a failing MAF, B1S1 O2, or the fuel pump in the tank isn't delivering the appropriate fuel. I see the LPFP duty but no pressure data showing specified and actual pressures.
Look at data for:
1) the specified and actual pressures for the LPFP (vcds MB 231).
2) the mass air in g/s. (vcds MB 003) You need to know what its HP at the crank is supposed to be.
3) there's some info here to help with O2 checks: https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1265064
