Need help with selecting oil pan

Hello, I have an oil leak from my oil pan and oil cooler on my 2.0 FSI and I am about to order parts for it and try and DIY it, the only part I have a problem with is the oil pan. I've been through many websites selling those and they all seem to differ as each one of them would or would not have that hole.

The only question is - what is that hole for?

Why not take a look under your engine at the oil pan you currently have to see if you have a sensor or not in that position........ seeing your car is a ROW and not a NAR I suspect you will have the oil level/temp sensor.
