I drive a 04' Mk5 1.6 FSI, I want to buy a set of 18"x8j wheels and was wondering if they'll fit. This is my first car and potentially first mod so i'm new to this and any help/advice is welcome. Suspension is stock.
No, it doesn't say. They're 5x112 ronal style wheels (replicas i presume) and they came off audi. I'm worried that they might stick out too much or even worse rub on the bodywork.
Are you lowered? If you are, you might rub. I run 18x8 et35 at around 23.75" fender to ground, 215/40 tires. Fenders rolled. Rubs when hitting a bump while turning. Almost no rubbing at 24".
Are they going on the same wheels that the 245/40/18 are on now? If so the tire will poke 5mm and be taller closer to fender/well by 25mm and your when your speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 64.6mph (104km/h): 7.7% faster compared to the 245/40/18, and compared to stock 225/40/18 when speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 66.2mph (106.6km/h): 10.3% faster. Your are also increasing tire diameter by over 10% over stock do not think Abs system will like that.
