MK7 shifter in a MK5

Today i fitted a mk7 Gti gear knob in my MK5!:happyanim:

It not to hard to install... only problem is that you have to gut the shaft for it is to long. Cut of about 6 cm, and drilled out the barrier in the knob .

Looks pretty good i think.... but more important, it feels great!!!

I drove the Jetta without any shift knob for a couple weeks. It sucked.

not if you are dsg. Only thing I like bout the dsg. IF your shift knob falls off it won't be too bad to drive. :lol:

Nice! I am not a big fan of the MK7 Shifter, but i do like the Edition 30 version so i got one and installed it on my MK5.
